Tory Lanez had the internet singing his praises when he shared a video depicting a music video director instructing a darker-skinned model and to be replaced by a lighter-skinned woman. Lanez stood up for the dark-skinned model and requested she be brought back in the scene resulting in the video going viral with social media thanking the singer/rapper for calling out colorism. BUT now the models are claiming that he staged the entire incident basically saying he did it for the gram, of course, he is refuting that notion.

The “Say It” crafter took to his Instagram story to defend himself and stated:

“This is the one and only time ima address this. I went out of my way to bring awareness to an important topic of discussion that never gets addressed. The internet has a funny way of tryna make light of truthful shit. IF it was a publicity stunt, why would I be doing it for someone elses music video?” He then went on to say that he did not request the clip for his own gain, rather a person on set sent him the footage.

“Mind y’all this video happened 3 months ago, and a behind the scenes camera man DM’d it to me the other day. All parties involved know what happened in the 30 minutes that I was at the shoot.”

The model in question who goes by the name Sultry Shen told her side of the story once the video caught fire on the web stating:

“Where’s the scene then if Tory wanted me so bad. The director is the best director, I know. Fake news.”

All we know somebody is lying and if it’s Lanez he looking real crazy out in these streets making up a situation like that just to bring attention to himself.
