Beyoncé and Donald Glover had us all in our feelings last week when a teaser for their Lion King duet “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” dropped. Luckily for us, they aren’t the only superstar brew Disney has in store, as an update about the film soundtrack reveals Pharrell Williams, Seth Rogen and more came together to give fans the live-action musical we all desperately want.
Pitchfork reports Pharrell produced some of the most well-known songs from the movie, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” a boisterous claim to the throne traditionally vocalized by young Simba and his jungle friends Zazu and Nala. Pharrell put some oomph into the iconic song “Hakuna Matata,” as well as producing the aforementioned Beyoncé-Donald Glover collab. “In addition, there is a brand new Elton John track called ‘Never Too Late,'” Pitchfork adds. “John co-wrote the track with Tim Rice; it’s produced by Greg Kurstin.”
See the full tracklisting below. The Lion King hits theaters July 19 and the soundtrack will be available digitally on July 11, physically on July 19. Note that track 14 is listed as TBA, so there are more surprises in store. Rihanna, where you at?
