In 2016, Michelle Obama took the moral high ground when she said, “When they go low, we go high,” about Donald Trump’s mudslinging amid the election against Hillary Clinton.

Years later, the former First Lady and former President Obama switched their strategy to ensure that Kamala Harris defeats Donald Trump.

On Night 2 of the Democratic National Convention, Obama assured all by thanking President Biden for serving the country but ensuring everyone knew we were entering a new era with Harris now sitting atop the ticket.

Obama has remained pretty quiet within the party lately but didn’t mince words when taking direct aim at Trump.

“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who hasn’t stopped complaining about his problems since he rode down that golden escalator nine years ago,” he said. “It’s been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually gotten worse now that he’s afraid of losing to Kamala.”

Obama went deeper, referencing Trump’s inability to talk about actual policy and instead focusing on optics, like comparing the size of the crowds at his rallies.

“The childish nicknames and crazy conspiracy theories and weird obsession with crowd size,” he joked. “It just goes on and on. The other day, I heard someone compare Trump to the neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day.”

His wife didn’t hold back either when disparaging Trump, even taking a glorious dig at the “Black jobs” comment he made at the first presidential debate back in June.

“By the way — who’s going to tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those ‘Black jobs?’”  the former first lady said as the crowd erupted.
