President Donald Trump was able to keep his tax returns from going public for years, but his medical records haven’t been as closely guarded.
As he continues to run amok in his second term with mass deportation and dangling tariffs, he’s also undergone his first physical exam since returning to the White House.
He was pored over for nearly five hours on Friday, April 11—before heading to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend, of course—and his White House physician, Sean Barbabella, revealed his medical status on Sunday.
The paperwork includes Trump being on two medications for keeping his cholesterol in check and aspirin to help prevent any cardiac events. He also uses Mometasone cream, which is reportedly used to treat eczema and psoriasis flare-ups.
The report also notes recent medical procedures Trump underwent, including a colonoscopy, which found a benign polyp, and diverticulosis, a usually asymptomatic condition that’s only dangerous when an infection goes untreated. Colon issues are pretty common among people over 50, so it shouldn’t be completely surprising for Trump, who at 79, is the oldest president ever to be sworn into office.
Though he’s questioned the COVID vaccine and propped up RFK Jr.’s confusing vaccine stance, the report says Trump has “all recommended vaccinations are current, including travel-related immunizations.”
“President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function,” Barbabella noted, adding that the President’s “days include participation in multiple meetings, public appearances, press availability, and frequent victories in golf events.”
However, the medical fact that’s led to constant jokes is Trump’s weight, which sits at 224, 20 pounds less than his last 2020 weigh-in, according to The Washington Post.
Trump stands 6’3,”so social media immediately scoured the internet for similarly proportioned athletes, and they aren’t so sure his weight is being reported accurately.
There’s Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who’s an inch shorter and a pound heavier than Trump, Deshaun Watson, who’s also 6’3″ but a pound heavier, and even Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, who’s an inch shorter and a pound lighter.
