Before he could turn all his focus to football, newly named Jacksonville Jaguar Travis Hunter had to kick off the season as a married man.
The 22-year-old reportedly married his longtime girlfriend, 23-year-old Leanna Lenee, on May 24 at The Barn at Faith Farms, a luxury wedding venue in Tennessee.
She shared news of the celebration on her TikTok, where she and Hunter showed off their iced-out wedding bands. In other TikToks, she showed off a behind-the-scenes of her getting her makeup done, hanging out with her bridesmaids, and her and Hunter walking hand in hand.
It marked her return to social media after she stopped posting in December, when she received backlash for her reaction to his Heisman trophy presentation. Social media videos showed Hunter’s coach, Deion Sanders, appearing to have to tell Lenee to stand up and clap once he won. It led to a tearful video from her and an angry response from Hunter, where he defended his then-fiancée.
“I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl’s been with me for five years,” he said at the time. “Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl. I feel the same pain that she feel. We’re inseparable. We’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”
The two met while attending high school in Georgia before she eventually followed him to Jackson State and then Colorado to play football. The young couple then got engaged in February 2024.
Throughout the day full of festivities, Hunter made sure she was pulling up to Jaguars games on Sundays in style by presenting her with a black Mercedes-Benz AMG G63. Video shows the newly married couple cutting open a bow on a massive box to reveal the truck as friends and family cheer them on.
Ever since the two began to share details about their relationship on social media publicly, they’ve been met with mixed emotions, with many haters wondering if her intentions are genuine.
That’s all heightened now that the happy couple has tied the knot, even Cam’ron and Mase spoke about the wedding, and reports that there’s no prenup on their It Is What It Is podcast.
“Imma sit this one out,” Mase began around the 47-minute mark of the episode above. “I think when it comes to the young lady, she does have like different things that have transpired. For me, as a dad, if that were my son, I would definitely be concerned. I think there are other ways he could protect his assets, maybe not with a prenup, but there’s other things you can do.”
Cam took a much more direct approach, explaining that he should’ve had her sign a prenup and not fall for any tricks.
“They’ll try to hit you with that sh-t, ‘Why get a prenup if you really love me?'” Cam added. “Do what you want, Travis, that’s up to you. I’m signing a prenup unless shorty getting as much money as I get or more than me. If you’re not getting more than me, you have to sign a prenup. It just works like that for me.”
