Sean “Diddy” Combs is still drowning in scandal as allegations of sex abuse and proven domestic abuse mount against him and haunt his legacy, which, at this point, isn’t even realistically salvageable. But Diddy is at least taking action on one of his accusers whose allegations the Bad Boy mogul’s legal team called “pure fiction” in a filing to dismiss the plaintiff’s sexual assault lawsuit.

According to Vulture, Diddy’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the suit brought by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who previously accused Diddy of sexually harassing, drugging, sexually assaulting, and threatening him.

From Vulture:

Rod also accused Diddy of being part of a RICO enterprise — or an organized-crime group — that aided his actions, consisting of Love Records, Motown Records, Universal Music Group, and their execs. Now, Diddy’s attorney Erica Wolff is calling Rod’s claims “pure fiction” and accusing him of seeking a settlement payout (after he sued for $30 million). “There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, groomed, assaulted, or trafficked,” Wolff said in a statement. “We look forward to proving — in a court of law — that all of Mr. Jones’s claims are made-up and must be dismissed.”

As previously reported, Lil Rod’s suit, which was filed in U.S District Court for the Southern District of New York in February, seeks $30 million in damages and includes allegations that Diddy encouraged him to have sex with a man, and forced him to hire and have sex with prostitutes. Jones said the incidents happened in 2022 and 2023 when he was living in Diddy’s home off and on while working on the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper’s 2023 release, The Love Album: Off the Grid, which Jones produced nine tracks on.

But Diddy’s attorneys insisted in their filing that Jones’ allegations are factless and that, in his lawsuit, he “fails to state a single viable claim” against Diddy or any of the other defendants.

Meanwhile, during a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jones opened up about the backlash he has received since filing his lawsuit against his former collaborator, how it got him “blackballed” in the music industry, and how the threats against him have sent him into hiding to the point where “my mom doesn’t even know where I live.”

“Here I am standing up for justice and for what I believe is right for my life and I’m being punished,” Jones said.
