Marcus Jordan is finally looking at the man in the mirror. He has admitted to having challenges with substance abuse.

Michael Jordan’s son is trying to get his act together following a very public and embarrassing DUI arrest in February. According to TMZ Sports, his legal team submitted a request that he complete a Pre-Trial Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Intervention Program. The paperwork says participating in it would help him with his “challenges” connected to his “alcohol/substance use.”

His attorneys add that it would “not only benefit him personally but also serve the community by reducing the likelihood of future offenses.”

On Feb. 4, Florida police found his Lamborghini SUV stuck on railroad tracks, and upon greeting him, they felt he was impaired. Authorities found a bag with a white substance in his pocket, which they claimed tested positive for cocaine.

According to PEOPLE,  that charge has now been changed to possession of ketamine, which is considered a Schedule III substance in Florida.

Days after the incident, he broke his silence. Though he was thankful for people’s well wishes, he remained silent on the issue and instead focused on Trophy Room, the sneaker boutique he’s owned since 2016 in Florida.

“I appreciate everyone reaching out. I’m focusing on @trophyroomstore right now and won’t be making any comments on recent media stories and my personal life,” he wrote. “I sincerely appreciate your concerns & thank you for your kind understanding.”

In August 2024, Marcus Jordan went viral after he was filmed sniffing a white substance while out with his friends in France.

Marcus Jordan is also charged with DUI, property damage, and resisting arrest; he has pleaded not guilty.
