Welcome to Cassius Approves, where the team drops off some of the hottest items around in fashion, sneakers, tech, and more. Whether an impulsive purchase, a quick Amazon Prime order, or a statement piece, we’re cutting through the noise with our recommendations. Check out our latest selections below.
Nike Air Max 1000
Comfort and ease of use are always most important when it comes to a pair of slip-on shoes, and now Nike is upping the ante with the Air Max 1000. Glaringly obvious by its name, it’s a futuristic approach to the iconic Air Max line, featuring a sizable air bubble and layered uppers, as seen on this oatmeal colorway. Even more ahead of its time, the entire sneaker is crafted with Zellerfeld’s advanced 3D printing technology, resulting in a seamless upper. There’s also a crimson colorway circulating on social media that will have Red October fanboys on alert. Expect these to go on sale sometime this summer for $210.
WWDC Classic Apple Merch
Tech nerds may be underwhelmed with Apple over OS 26, but everyone loves a good nostalgic moment. So, the Cupertino-based giant is offering some special items at the Apple Park Visitor Center Store. Anything from hoodies, T-shirts, baby onesies, and cups is available for purchase, featuring the rainbow Apple logo that was used from the 1970s until the late 90s, before companies adopted the flat, boring, grayscale era. For more retro goodness, there are also items that feature Apple’s Garamond font alongside the vintage logo. There’s no word on the tees, but hoodies are going for $80.
Tekla x Stussy
If you’re taking a break from the streetwear and sneaker flexes but still want that vibe to carry over to your crib, Stussy has you on lock. The California-born skate brand partners with the luxe, sleep-obsessed brand Tekla to elevate your bed’s coziness. Tekla’s typical striped and plain offerings are swapped for Stussy’s penchant for plaid and flower motifs in several colorways, featured on pillowcases and duvet covers. A standout is the summer-ready peach sheet set, along with a pajama set that might tempt you to rock outside. This is the fourth time the two brands have collaborated on a previous collection, including sleepwear and robes. Check out the collection at select stores, stussy.com, and teklafabrics.com, as well as the official sites.
Seiko x Transformers
For fans of the Transformers movie franchise who are also watch aficionados, it’s time to rise up. Seiko is linking up with the iconic lineup of movies to pay homage to its dark-sided Decepticon leader Megatron. The purple deception is visible at the 12 o’clock position, accentuating the stainless steel body just like Megatron. Added details include the outline of a Walter P38 gun on one of the smaller dials, and below the centered Seiko logo is a badge reminiscent of Megatron’s controls on his chest. Once flipped, the rear of the watch reveals that the timepiece is a year late, as it features the Transformers 40th anniversary signage from 2024. The back also indicates that there are only 300 watches available for preorder at Japan’s U Treasure for now. Cough up a fair $410 and expect the watch to ship in early September.
