In the hours before the clock struck on Beyoncé’s 36th birthday on Monday, her husband Jay-Z commemorated the moment from the stage at Philadelphia’s Made In America festival. He got the entire crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” to his wife.

“This is a special moment,” Jay told fans, before prompting them to sing. “Y’all ready?” he asked. “1, 2, 3!” The crowd erupted into the traditional verse, followed by Stevie Wonder’s adaptation. Watch the sweet moment above.

Bey was in the crowd with her Destiny’s Child mate Michelle Williams, rocking sunglasses and smiling from ear to ear. It looks like Bey had a beautiful start to her birthday, with all her family and closest friends in tow.
