James Van Der Beek is one of the latest men to speak out in the wake of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual assault allegations. “What Weinstein is being accused of is criminal,” the former Dawson’s Creek star stated on Twitter early Thursday. “What he’s admitted to is unacceptable – in any industry. I applaud everybody speaking out.”
He then went on to share his own personal account regarding his experiences being sexually assaulted. “I’ve had my ass grabbed by older, powerful men. I’ve had them corner me in inappropriate sexual conversations when I was much younger…”

In an upsetting turn of events, DeAndre Harris, the 20-year-old Black man who was brutally beaten in a parking garage by white supremacists on August 12 in Charlottesville, is wanted for assault in the same attack that left him covered in blood.
According to the New York Daily News, a warrant was issued for Harris after a “victim” reported the incident to the magistrate office. After the case was reviewed by a Charlottesville detective, the warrant was issued.
White supremacist Daniel Borden was charged with malicious wounding in the attack of Deandre Harris in August.
