We’ve all been there. You’re waiting not-so-patiently on your refund check, or it’s 2 a.m. and the caf isn’t open and you’re still three hours away from finishing your thesis. Or let’s go back even further, when Moms asked if you had McDonald’s money when you requested a cheeseburger on the way home.
Times get tough, but struggle sandwiches are always there when we don’t have much. We may have grown out of those broke days and our taste buds might have grown up, but we think it’s important to remember and pay homage to those easy-to-make deli classics that pushed us through those dark times.
