Rihanna Turns 30 Today. Where the Hell Does Time Go?

It seems like just yesterday that a fresh-faced Robyn Rihanna Fenty descended upon the scene with “Pon de Replay.” Where did she come from? And who was this Barbadian sensation? Little did we know, she would go on to become one of the most renowned and adored entertainers of our generation. Today, the internet collectively blows party horns as the queen of the Fenty Empire celebrates 30 years of life. Happy Birthday, beautiful Rihanna!

Also, Um, What Was Michael B. Jordan’s “Chocolate Cakes” Tweet All About?

The cast of Marvel’s Black Panther had everybody looking  👀👀👀 when Michael B. Jordan tweeted an interesting message to Lupita Nyong’o on Monday. After Nyong’o shared an endearing video of herself entering Jordan’s dressing room and demanding he perform a set of pushups, Lord Killmonger said to Nyong’o in a now-deleted tweet: “Bring them chocolate cakes back. You ready for round 2? #youknowyouwantthis.”

[Insert pandemonium here]

To add to the steaming hot kettle of tea, Nyong’o responded with, “No dessert until you come correct.” Considering both tweets have since disappeared from all crevices of the internet (discounting screenshots, of course), we may never know what was actually going on here, but please believe: the whole world’s watching.

Fergie Issued an Apology for That National Anthem Disaster.

To be honest, we thought she was pulling the biggest troll on earth, but nope! Fergie was serious about that performance during the NBA All-Star game. (Sidebar: did y’all peep the players’ faces, though? Lolol.)

“I’ve always been honored and proud to perform the national anthem and last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA,” she said in a statement to TMZ. “I’m a risk taker artistically, but clearly this rendition didn’t strike the intended tone. I love this country and honestly tried my best.”

If you missed it, you can watch it below. Friendly disclaimer: You may wanna turn the volume down a bit.
