Office happy hour get a little too lit? Don’t let sweat marks, wine spills and food stains rack up a hefty dry-cleaning bill for your favorite suit. J.Crew—the brand that converted legions of regular guys into skinny suit-wearers—dropped its first machine-washable design.
Washing machines are notoriously harsh on tailored clothing, so most guys know to steer clear of them when it comes to stain removal. But dry-cleaning can be annoying as hell when you need a last-minute fix.
J.Crew’s Destination Stretch Performance Suit, comes in a slightly more tailored version of the brand’s popular Ludlow fit. It’s breathable, stain resistant and quick-drying, with an exterior so waterproof that liquid literally rolls right off of it. Just throw it in the wash and when the cycle’s finished, simply hang it up to dry. And it’s not ruined at all. In fact, it looks just as good as ever.
Available in navy, black and charcoal at jcrew.com and select stores, the jacket retails for $328 and the pant for $178.
