Donald Glover Teamed Up with Mo’Nique for an Adidas Campaign, and the Ads Are Hilarious.

We didn’t know we needed a Donald Glover and Mo’Nique collaboration until it happened, but now that it has, we’re more than grateful. ICYMI on your timeline yesterday, Glover and Adidas announced Donald Glover Presents, which is their new creative partnership reimagining the Nizza, the Continental 80, and the Lacombe Adidas styles. The line was revealed via a series of ads in which Mo’Nique bosses Glover around. The grits moment is probably our fave in the series.

“Rich is a concept,” Donald Glover said. “With this project, I wanted to encourage people to think about how their stories can be told on their feet. Value isn’t quantified by what you wear, rather the experiences from them. And you make the decision on what works for you, you live through your own lens. The partnership for me is about being able to exemplify what doing your own thing truly looks and feels like.”

Get your Friday started on the right foot by watching the new ads below:

“B-Real got even more reflective, talking about how far they’ve come since they were young men coming up in the biz together,” TMZ writes. “He also got real about the obstacles they’ve faced over the years due to their unabashed love for cannabis.”

In fact, they’re facing some obstacles surrounding a 4/20 event they’re supposed to perform at in Vancouver on Saturday. But regardless of what happens, this is a moment to remember, and we’re glad to see hip-hop royalty getting the recognition they deserve.
