Nearly three months following the killing of Ermias Asghedom, better known to the world as Nipsey Hussle, a motive has finally been revealed.

According to court documents, Hussle’s and Eric Holder Jr. crossed paths by chance that day, as Hussle showed up to his marathon clothing store unannounced and decided to sign autographs and take pictures.

District Attorney John McKinney told grand jurors, Holder and Hussle, who were both apart of the gang Rollin’ 60’s, greeted each other with their handshake. It’s believed that following this handshake, Nipsey Hussle accused Holder of being a snitch, which is a very serious offense.

According to a witness named Herman Douglas, Nipsey told Eric “you know they got paperwork on you.” Douglas later clarified that “having paperwork” on someone means that the police or local law enforcement have document paperwork listing you as a snitch.

Douglas continued to say that he believes Nipsey was simply looking out for Holder, telling him “watch your back out here.

According to NY Daily News, Holder was driven to the scene of the crime by his girlfriend. They were at Hussle’s store when she got out of the car to ask for a photograph. That’s when Holder asked Hussle if he ever snitched, and Hussle waved him off. It is believed that Holder and his girlfriend left the scene after that.

Later, they were driving when Holder brandished a gun, and demanded she wait for him in a certain spot. The lady said she was completely was unaware of what was happening, but was simply following orders given to her by Holder after he threatened to slap her if she didn’t cooperate.

The woman who testified against Holder was granted immunity and her name will not be released.

The grand jury indicted Holder on May 9 on charges of murder, attempted murder, assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held in solitary confinement with no bond.
