Madhappy Unveils Chuck 70 Collaboration With Converse

Converse announced its first-ever collaboration with Los Angeles-based clothing brand Madhappy, which will bring three flavors of the footwear company’s iconic Chuck 70 silhouette.

The Madhappy collaboration was announced on Thursday, and when it launches, it will feature minimalist takes on the Chuck 70, with Madhappy’s flair for a modern, optimistic perspective.

Per Converse: The Chuck has lived through decades, served as a canvas for various subcultures, accompanied all sorts of creators – yet it remains an enduring classic. Now, Madhappy breathes its uplifting ethos into the silhouette through intentional details, premium materials, and hand-done finishes, achieving a timeless but refreshed look. Worn-in but elevated.

The Madhappy & Converse Chuck 70 collection embraces a refined design approach through three distinct colorways – Vintage White, Black, and a cloudy Thunder Daze – that ground the lineup in universal, neutral hues. Deliberately distressed, a heavy-washed canvas upper with raw edges paired with a burnished foxing tape and toecap achieve a lived-in aesthetic. Thoughtful material contrasts, including a suede heel accent, suede Madhappy star logo, and felt Chuck patch add depth and texture to subtly polish the understated design.

This latest collaboration comes on the heels of Nike x Converse’s collaboration with the hit Netflix original series Stranger Things, which is currently airing its fifth and final season.

The Converse x Madhappy collection drops on Friday, December 5, via Madhappy.com, Madhappy Shops, Converse.com, and select retailers and will cost $130.
