Sterling K. Brown is having an incredible 2018, from making history for winning a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his portrayal of Randall Pearson in This is Us, to appearing in the groundbreaking film Black Panther. The actor is about to hit another entertainment industry milestone next month.

Brown will make his debut hosting Saturday Night Live on March 10. The musical guest will be three-time Grammy nominee and multi-platinum English singer-songwriter James Bay, who will be promoting his single “Wild Love” from his sophomore album, which was released on February 8.

Brown took to his Instagram to tell his followers that he “can’t wait” for the opportunity to take the stage.

While the show has come under fire in recent years for not being inclusive of a diverse range of hosts, SNL has been improving as of late, with hosts including Tiffany Haddish, Chance the Rapper, Kevin Hart, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. But with the departure of Black comedians such as Sasheer Zamata, there’s been a noticeable gap in the show’s efforts to diversify and hire comedians of color for the regular cast.

NBC also announced that Basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley will return to host on March 3. He will be joined by none other than Migos, as the group continues to promote “Culture II,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in its first week. SNL alum Bill Hader will host on March 17. He is the executive producer, director, and star of the upcoming HBO comedy Barry, premiering March 25. Arcade Fire will be the musical guest on his episode. The group is promoting its fifth studio album, “Everything Now,” which was released last July.
