Will Smith may be focused on his music career and forthcoming album dropping in March, but his love for acting hasn’t wavered.

In fact, he revealed that a sequel to Hancock is in the works.

When asked by a viewer, he teased the movie while appearing on xQc’s Twitch livestream and even dropped some exclusive news about another big Hollywood star who could be joining him on set.

“There’s a really cool Hancock 2 idea,” Smith revealed. “We haven’t even talked about it. I’m going to give you one little piece. Zendaya will be approached for a role in Hancock 2.”

There’s still no telling what role Zendaya would take on in the sequel.

The 2008 film skipped the typical sanitized superhero plot and instead opted for Will Smith’s John Hancock, a drunk with amnesia who never watches his language. Charlize Theron plays his ex-wife, who also has powers, and attempts to aid Hancock as he wakes up every day forgetting yesterday while still trying to learn how to use his immortality and superhuman strength for good.

That wasn’t the only blockbuster followup film Smith announced while on the stream, he also noted that I Am Legend 2 is also in the works and the Michael B. Jordan-assisted film is finally in the works after years of a pending release.

“Me and Michael B. Jordan have sat down for about a week, just went through character stuff,” Smith said. “That’s a real thing. I’d love to work with that dude. He really gets it.”

The sci-fi picture dropped in 2007, and Smith played virologist Robert Neville attempting to survive a desolate New York City after a would-be cancer cure kills most of the world’s human population.

See below how excited social media is about Smith’s return to the big screen with sequels to two of his most popular movies from the early aughts.
