Rapper Curren$y’s Candy Green Whip Inspired This Reebok Drop
Reebok teamed up with New Orleans rapper Curren$y to remix one of its OG basketball silhouettes. Available now, the Reebok Classic Question x Curren$y is inspired by three of the artist’s biggest passions—dope rides, hip-hop, and basketball.
The icy white leather upper is an homage to the artist’s notoriously decked out whip, featuring blue accents and a jeweled heel in molded chrome engraved with a jet logo. But the automotive nods don’t stop there—the candy green and chromed out shoe box mimics details of his ride as well. The box opens like his trunk does, and there is a finger hole where the key hole would be on the trunk.
But the coolest accents are the “Stem Green” outsole and iridescent toe that transforms from green to blue to purple, replicating Curren$y’s Pilot Talk album cover. His moniker, “Spitta,” is printed on the sides with a nod to his NOLA crew, “Jet Life,” featured on the tongue.
