Kim Kardashian has proven herself to be a competent advocate for criminal justice and prison reform. It has been reported that she had a hand in freeing 17 inmates in over three months.
You may remember when Kardashian met with Donald Trump, much to the public’s disapproval. Kardashian has now focused her newfound passion of prison reform on one of her husband’s colleagues, A$AP Rocky.
A$AP Rocky has spent the last two weeks locked up in a Swedish jail for his alleged involvement in a street fight. While Rocky has been locked up, it’s also been reported that the conditions they are holding Rocky are unfit and “inhumane.”
According to TMZ, when Kanye learned of A$AP’s detainment in Sweden, he asked his wife if she could use her connection to the White House to help the detained rapper.
“We’re told as soon as Kim and Kanye heard about A$AP’s predicament earlier this month, Kanye urged Kim to get on the horn and talk to Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner with whom Kim is very familiar from her previous White House work,” says TMZ.
It is believed that Donald Trump agrees Rocky is being held unfairly, but he has not made any efforts to free the rapper public.
A$AP Rocky could be facing up to six years in the Swedish prison if he is convicted of assault.
