1. Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo had a few nominations under his belt at this year’s Oscars, so you know he had to show up on the red carpet. The Sing Sing actor hit the carpet in a custom double-breasted red Valentino tuxedo, complete with a red belt. The red top was matched with a button-up beneath, black lapels, and black pants and shoes.
The red theme continued with the rose-tinted shades, which were further accented by a gold broach and a gold ring.
2. Samuel L. Jackson

Legendary actor Samuel L. Jackson never strays too far from the classic tuxedo look, and that tone remained true as he strutted down the red carpet in all black, everything from head to toe. Still, he went for a more relaxed look sans tie, with a top button-open look, finished with a shimmering collar that continued down the pantleg.
3. Sterling K. Brown

Sterling K. Brown must have gotten the color-blocking dress code as well. He walked the red carpet in a white suit jacket and shirt paired with a black bowtie that matched his pants and patent leather-accented shoes.
4. Jeremy Pope

Pose actor Jeremy Pope walked the Oscars red carpet in one of the most unique outfits of the year while others played it safe. Pope wore a custom Balmain suit constructed of silk with a tightly tailored top—equipped with fastened bows—paired with flared pants and pointy-toed boots.
5. Paul Tazewell

Paul Tazewell made history as the first Black man to win a Best Costume Design Oscar for his work on Wicked, so he knows a thing or two about putting together a memorable fit. Tazewell rocked a single-breasted tuxedo in black and white. He swapped the bowtie for a diamond-encrusted accessory around his neck to pair with the custom Dolce & Gabbana threads.
